Để tạo điều kiện dễ dàng cho những anh chị em sẽ đi làm HAJJ, nhóm anh em cựu sinh viên trường Đại học "University Islamic of Madinah" biên soạn tóm tắt "Cách thức thi hành HAJJ" để anh chị em cùng tham khảo trước khi lên đường. Hy vọng bài hướng dẩn nầy sẽ đem lại những sự hữu ích cho quí tín hữu Muslim sẽ không bỡ ngỡ hay bối rối khi làm phận sự của mình, Insha-Allah.  |

The Hajj is based on a pilgrimage that was ancient even in the time of Muhammad in the 7th Century. According to Hadith, elements of the Hajj trace back to the time of Abraham (Ibrahim), around 2000 BC. It is believed that the Prophet Ibrahim was ordered by God (Allah) to leave his wife Hagar and his infant son Ismael alone in the desert. While he was gone, the child became thirsty, and Hagar ran back and forth seven times searching for water for her son. The baby cried and hit the ground with his foot (some versions of the story say that an angel scraped his foot or the tip of his wing along the ground), and water miraculously sprang forth. |

The Hajj is associated with the life of Islamic prophet Muhammad from the 7th century, but the ritual of pilgrimage to Mecca is considered by Muslims to stretch back thousands of years to the time of Ibrahim (Abraham). Pilgrims join processions of hundreds of thousands of people, who simultaneously converge on Mecca for the week of the Hajj, and perform a series of rituals: Each person walks counter-clockwise seven times about the Ka'bah, the cube-shaped building which acts as the Muslim direction of prayer; kisses the Black Stone in the corner of the Kaaba; runs back and forth between the hills of Al-Safa and Al-Marwah; drinks from the Zamzam Well; goes to the plains of Mount Arafat to stand in vigil; and throws stones in a ritual Stoning of the Devil. |

The Hajj (Arabic: حج Ḥaǧǧ) is a pilgrimage to Mecca (Makkah). It is currently the largest annual pilgrimage in the world, and is the fifth pillar of Islam, an obligation that must be carried out at least once in their lifetime by every able-bodied Muslim who can afford to do so. The Hajj is a demonstration of the solidarity of the Muslim people, and their submission to Allah (God). The pilgrimage occurs from the 8th to 13th day of Dhu al-Hijjah, the 12th month of the Islamic calendar. Because the Islamic calendar is a lunar calendar, eleven days shorter than the Gregorian calendar used in the Western world, the Gregorian date of the Hajj changes from year to year. |

Rosul (saw) có nói: Hadji hoàn thành tốt đẹp khi được công nhận thì phần ân thưởng không gì hơn là Thiên đàng, Ai làm Hadji mà không dâm dục, không làm điều tội lỗi thì sẽ trở lại y như thửơ mới lọt lòng mẹ". Hadith do Al Bukhary và Muslim ghi lại. |

Rosul (saw) có nói: "Những người đi thi hành nghĩa vụ Hadji và Umroh là khách của Allah, nếu họ cầu khẩn mong muốn điều gì hay xin Ngài tha thứ đều được toại nguyện". Hadith do An Nasha-y, Ibnu Majah, Ibnu Khuzaimah và Ibnu Habban ghi lại. |

Rosul (saw) có nói: "Đồng tiền chi tiêu trong thời gian thi hành Hadji tựa như sự đóng góp trên con đường phục vụ Allah, một đồng chi ra sẽ được tăng lên bảy trăm lần".
